What is Hylaform? Hylaform is a modified form of hyaluronan, a naturally occurring substance found in human skin and throughout the body. Since Hylaform is based on natural hyaluronan, your body biologically accepts it as its own. Hylaform also mimics the same hydrating and lifting effect of hyaluronan, which keeps the skin hydrated and elastic, helping you look and feel great. Hylaform Plus is a more concentrated product that is used to correct deeper wrinkles and lasts longer. All it takes is a few simple injections under the surface of the skin, to help fill in and smooth away facial lines and wrinkles, acne scars, or other skin contour deficiencies and you'll see the improvements immediately!
What causes facial lines and wrinkles? Everybody gets facial lines and wrinkles at some point in their lives. They are caused by the breakdown of the natural collagen and hyaluronan support layer that lies just beneath your skin which is the result of external factors, such as sun damage, environmental exposure and internal conditions including the body's natural ageing process. How does Hylaform work? Hylaform is a gel that is injected just beneath the skin surface to replace the collagen and hyaluronan support layers, which have deteriorated. It instantly supports your skin, smoothing wrinkles, most types of scars, corrects skin contour deficiencies and improves facial lines typically found between the eyes, and around the mouth area. Is it painful? You may feel an initial sting but only for a moment. Hylaform is injected using extremely fine needles and Dr. Binstock may numb the area to be treated with a topical anaesthetic. When creating sensuous lips, Dr. Binstockmay choose to use a dental block, which ensures a more comfortable procedure. Is it Expensive? For the same cost as a day at the beauty salon, a few rounds of golf or a night at a favourite hotel you will look and feel so much better. Treatment prices are based on the number of areas treated and the amount of Hylaform required.
How often would I require treatment? Everyone's skin is different. That is why the timing of any additional treatment varies from person to person. Because Hylaform is a naturally based, biological material it will eventually break down and be absorbed by your body and that is why you will need ongoing treatments to maintain the look you want. If you choose not to continue with your treatment any remaining Hylaform is simply absorbed by your body over time and your skin gradually returns to its natural contours. Together with Dr. Binstock, you can tailor a personal treatment programme that suits you best. That is why it is so important to develop a relationship with someone you are comfortable with. You will be looked after by a highly trained health professional but you should also work to create a long-term relationship so that you can rely on them to provide exactly the look you want. It also makes it easier if you want to drop in for a Hylaform touch-up treatment just for that special occasion! What can I expect from my Hylaform treatment? You can expect immediate results! The great news is that Hylaform is very similar to the hyaluronan found in the body, which means we don't need to do any skin tests, and you can be treated on your very first visit to Dr. Binstock.
Are there any reactions to treatments? There may be some local treatment responses and these are perfectly normal. They can include temporary discomfort, discolouration or mild to moderate redness and swelling. Typically these responses are temporary and, if they do occur, will usually go away within a couple of days. Hylaform is derived from the hylauronic acid in rooster's combs and should not be used by people who are allergic to chickens. We have found that many people have Hylaform treatment and return to work or their usual activities that same day.
