Wrinkle Relaxers

Botox^® Cosmetic and the new Dysport™ are not facial fillers, they are botulinum-derived muscle relaxers, and are used to soften and ease fine lines, forehead lines, bunny lines, neck bands, jowls, lip lines, and crow’s feet. These agents smooth out and rebalance muscle tension to restore a more youthful appearance. Benefits typically last thirty-six months.

Wrinkle Fillers

Wrinkles can be improved with variety of fillers that literally lift up and fill lines and wrinkles. Restylane^®, Perlane^®, and Juvederm^® are all hyaluronic acid fillers, and along with Radiesse^® (a calcium hydroxyapatite filler) can all be used to improve wrinkles, deeper lines, and some facial hollowing. Often, facial volumizing is really what is needed to improve facial lines and other facial folds, as they result from a lack of fullness that causes skin sagging. Facial volumizing products last up to a year and do not require skin testing.

Facial Volumizing and Recontouring 

Collagen-enhancing biostimulatory agents and lipo (fat) transfer literally volumize the face, re-inflating cheeks, cheekbones, temples, under-eye hollowing, and marionette lines, and enhance the jawline. Volumizers that stimulate new collagen production include Sculptra^® Aesthetic (poly lactic acid) and Radiesse, (calcium hydroxyapatite). Lipo (fat) transfer offers a natural alternative, i.e., one’s own fat, that is harvested and re-injected into the individual. These products/options are often administered as a series of treatments, depending on the volume loss and number of areas treated, with contour and volume improving following each session to rebalance the aging face. Fat transfer can also be combined with liposuction of the jowls and neck to further restore a more youthful appearance. Radiesse, Sculptra Aesthetic, and fat transfer can also all be used to REJUVENATE BACKS OF HANDS , filling the grooves to help mask prominent veins. The duration of benefit varies with the product/procedure selected—Radiesse lasts about one year, Sculptra about two years, and fat transfer can last even longer.
