Well respected for his work in Mohs micrographic controlled excision for skin cancers, the most effective technique for the removal of problem skin cancers,  Jeffrey H. Binstock, M.D. is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. Dr. Binstock serves as a Volunteer, Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco and is a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American College for Mohs Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology.

A pioneer in the field of liposuction and laser surgery, Dr. Binstock is a highly skilled dermatologic and cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Binstock’s practice is dedicated to providing patients with excellence in skin rejuvenation and reconstructive procedures in an elegant and comfortable environment. One of the first surgeons to perform liposuction in America, Dr. Binstock trained in Paris with the procedure’s inventors, Dr. Yves-Gerard Illouz and Dr. Pierre Fournier. He incorporated liposuction into his practice in 1983, and has successfully performed thousands of procedures for satisfied patients over the past 25+ years with an outstanding safety record.

Dr. Binstock’s practice also includes the comprehensive treatment of premature aging and wrinkling of the skin, sun damage, and skin cancer. Treatments for these conditions include all aspects of laser and fractional laser skin rejuvenation, dermal filling agents, botulinum muscle relaxers, volumetric and biostimulatory fillers, liposuction, lipo (fat) transfer, eyelid lifts, and Mohs surgery for skin cancer. Dr. Binstock strives to improve the overall appearance and health of the skin for his patients.

Dr. Binstock started his practice in San Francisco in 1981. He merged his practices with those of Dr. Lewis Tanenbaum's  in 1989, forming Aesthetic Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery , Inc. Today, he treats patients in three different offices, one located in San Francisco’s Financial District, one in the Mill Valley north of the Golden Gate Bridge, and a satellite office in Daly City. Medical staff include a physician assistant, a dermatopathologist, associated dermatologists, and aestheticians. A skin care product line is also available.

Dr. Binstock received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a fellowship in Dermatologic and Mohs Cancer Surgery at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Binstock has served on the Board of Directors of the California Dermatologic Societies and as a dermatologic representative to the Medicare Advisory Council. He is known nationwide and has authored many articles about aesthetic dermatology, cosmetic surgery, and skin cancer in professional journals and publications. Dr. Binstock has also appeared on radio and television shows and has been featured in many national newspapers and magazines.
